Cadbury eggs are some of my favorite easter candies. They’re also kinda pricey nowadays so I decided to figure out how to make my own. This recipe will make about 16-20 eggs depending on how well you size them and how many you lose to messing up the dipping process. They’re not as perfectly formed as the ones you buy in the store, but they’re yummy and they’ll melt in your mouth.
A few tips:
- Either buy good melting chocolates or temper your own chocolate to dip in. Don’t buy the fake candyquik stuff. It’s not even made out of real chocolate. These only taste as good as the chocolate you dip them in.
- Use softened butter, not melted; it really does matter.
- The filling is supposed to be semi-liquid at room temperature, so they’re very difficult to work with. Keep them in the freezer until you dip them and keep your chocolate as cool as possible.
You are seriously talented!
What sort of witchcraft is this?!
They look delicious. I would eat the whole batch.
I saw a recipe two years ago on how to make them, sadly I'll just pay for the convenience.
Oh my gosh. My waistline just increased tenfold.
Those look so good!:)
